YOU TIME Buy real, fresh flowers for yourself. Take yourself out on a date, take time to be by yourself. Go to an art gallery, read a self improvement book. Nourish your body.
GET UP EARLIER Take the mornings before work to focus on yourself. Meditate, go to yoga or a gym class. Drink your favourite coffee, watch the sunrise.
SOCIAL MEDIA FREE Have a social media free day one a week. Media has taken over every aspect of our lives. It’s fun but lets be honest its exhausting and giving us a warped and unrealistic standard of living and beauty. Take a break and pick up a new hobby.
TRAVEL – even locally. Not all of us have money in the bank in our twenties to travel, but there is so much beauty in England that goes unnoticed. Even in your hometown or city.
RELAX – have a bubble bath, deep condition your hair, read a book, put a face mask on, paint your nails. Be selfish with your me time.
WRITE a daily gratitude journal – write down 3 things each morning you are grateful for. Start your day right.
BE KINDER TO YOURSELF. You are doing the best that you can.
COOK Learn to cook. Cook fresh ingredients. Eat healthily. Your mind and body will thank you. Remember a healthy diet isn’t just for a summer body, it dramatically improves your mental health to.
TREAT YOURSELF. Although its important to eat healthily, its also important to treat yourself from time to time. Eat the extra cookie, have the cocktails, eat the last slice of pizza. Life is too short, and pizza is TOO good!
STOP doing things you don’t want to do – learn to say no.
LEARN TO LOVE YOUR BODY – stop being so hard on yourself. Learn to love your body type, research the best clothes to suit your body shape so you feel comfortable. Have confidence. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
GO AFTER YOUR DREAMS Don’t be afraid of speaking up, and going after your dreams and goals. It takes serious courage to go after what you truly want in this life. Be patient and consistent. Don’t let people talk down on your dreams.
NO BAD BOYS Don’t waste time with men you know are no good for you. So much of our energy in our younger years are spent worrying about men that most likely won’t even be in our life in 5 years time. These are your key prime years for personal growth and development, so if someone doesn’t make you happier than you could be alone or contribute to your life in a positive way. Cut them out of your life.
SMILE AT STRANGERS Buy a homeless person a good meal. Do a good deed. Give back.
